What is a B2B marketplace?

A B2B platform connects companies that buy with companies that sell: manufacturers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, warehouses and service providers. Unlike an online shop for consumers, transactions take place between companies, through requests for quotation, negotiated offers, agreements and contracts.

On Markonex, every company has a profile with data retrieved from ANAF and can be a buyer and a seller at the same time.

What can you buy and sell on Markonex?

Any product or service for companies. RFQs and products fall into the platform's 15 categories, each with subcategories:

• Industrial equipment: machinery, tools and equipment for industry, industrial parts.
• Raw materials: raw materials and basic supplies for production.
• IT & technology: iT solutions and services, software, office equipment.
• Electronics & hardware: electronic products, components and hardware.
• Construction: construction and renovation services.
• Building materials: materials for construction and finishing.
• Transport & logistics: transport, warehousing and logistics services.
• Agriculture: agricultural products and services.
• Food & beverage: food and beverage products, including HoReCa supplies.
• Energy: energy services and solutions.
• Professional services: consulting, legal, accounting and other business services.
• Healthcare & pharma: medical equipment, medical services and pharmaceutical products.
• Wholesale & retail trade: goods for resale, wholesale and retail.
• Other: any other product or service for companies, for example packaging.

How you buy from other companies

You publish an RFQ, from text, a voice note or a scanned document, and the platform automatically finds matching suppliers. You can also search products or companies directly, with price, currency, category, region and distance filters.

• You receive offers from several suppliers on the same RFQ.
• You compare up to 3 products side by side: price, match score, rating, distance and financial data.
• You send a direct price request to a specific company, from its profile or from a product page.

How you sell to other companies

You list your product catalogue with a description, price range, currency, categories and image, or import it from an Excel file. You see the active RFQs published by companies, ranked by how well they match what you sell, and get in-app, push or email alerts when a matching RFQ appears.

How you check the company you work with

At registration, the company is verified with ANAF based on its CUI: if the CUI does not exist or the company is inactive or deregistered, registration is blocked. The profile shows the legal name, CAEN code, VAT and e-Invoice status, registered office and public financial statements, and company status is re-checked periodically.

What Markonex does not do

Markonex does not process payments, does not sell or deliver goods and is not a party to contracts between companies. Payment and delivery are agreed directly between buyer and supplier. The exchange rate shown for price conversion is indicative.
