B2B marketplace for industrial equipment: RFQs to manufacturers and distributors

Markonex has a dedicated industrial equipment category with eight subcategories, from hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to CNC machines, pumps and motors. Factories, workshops and maintenance companies request price quotes from several suppliers at once, and equipment manufacturers, importers and distributors find new buyers.

Who buys and who sells industrial equipment on Markonex

The platform connects companies that need machinery, parts and equipment for production with the companies that make, import, distribute or service them.

  • Buyers: factories and production units, machining workshops, industrial maintenance companies, production-line integrators, construction and agricultural companies.
  • Sellers: equipment manufacturers, importers and distributors, dealers, spare-parts suppliers, service and maintenance companies.

Which subcategories the Industrial equipment category covers

When you publish an RFQ or list a product, you choose the Industrial equipment category and one or more of the subcategories below. Metal processing and assembly services are in the Manufacturing category, and automation and PLCs in Electronics & hardware.

  • Hydraulic equipment and pneumatic equipment.
  • CNC machines and welding equipment.
  • Compressors, pumps and motors.
  • Conveyors and belts.

How to request quotes for a machine or a part

You publish an RFQ with a title, description, category, location and validity period, 30 days by default. In the description you state what matters technically: the type of equipment, operating parameters, compatibility with the existing installation, delivery time and whether you need installation or service. A scanned data sheet or parts list can be turned directly into an RFQ, and the AI assistant helps you write a clear description.

Matching suppliers send offers, which you negotiate in rounds with each of them, up to 20 rounds, with messages and attached documents. If you already know the manufacturer, you send it a direct price request from its profile or from a product page.

Usage examples

The scenarios below show how the platform can be used in this industry. They are illustrative examples, not cases of real customers.

  • A furniture factory needs a new compressor for its paint shop. It publishes an RFQ in the Compressors subcategory, with the flow rate, pressure and available space, and negotiates delivery time and commissioning with the distributors that reply.
  • A maintenance company is looking for a replacement pump compatible with an existing installation. It uploads the data sheet of the old pump, from which the AI assistant prepares the RFQ, and at the same time searches the product catalogue for suppliers in its county.
  • A welding equipment distributor imports its catalogue from an Excel file and creates a follow filter for the Welding equipment subcategory. When a workshop publishes a matching RFQ, it gets notified and sends an offer.

ANAF verification of suppliers and buyers

At sign-up, the platform queries ANAF, the Romanian tax authority, by CUI (company tax ID). If the company is active, the profile gets the “ANAF verified” status, and the company data held by ANAF is filled in automatically. If the CUI does not exist or the company is inactive or deregistered, sign-up with that CUI is blocked.

Company status is rechecked twice a month, and companies not verified by ANAF are marked distinctly in results. Each supplier profile shows its locations and public financial statements. This matters most when you order equipment from a company you have not worked with before.

For equipment manufacturers and distributors

You list your catalogue with price range, currency, categories and subcategories, or import it from an Excel file. You create follow filters for RFQs in your subcategories and get notified about every matching RFQ.

Agreement and contract

After negotiation, you confirm the agreement in two phases and choose whether you need a contract, generated from a template or uploaded. Markonex does not process payments or deliver equipment: payment, delivery, installation and service are agreed directly between the companies.

Frequently asked questions

Can I request quotes for spare parts on Markonex, not only for complete machines?

Yes. An RFQ can describe any product or service for companies: a complete machine, a spare part, an installation or maintenance service. Matching is based first on the description, and the category and subcategory help rank the results.

Can I compare offers from several suppliers for the same equipment?

Yes. All offers received on an RFQ appear on the “Offers” page, and you negotiate with each supplier separately, in rounds. In product search you can compare up to 3 products side by side, with price, match score, ANAF verification, rating, distance and the company’s financial data.

Does Markonex deliver or install the equipment?

No. Markonex does not sell, deliver or process payments. Delivery, installation, warranty and payment are agreed directly between buyer and supplier, according to their agreement.
