How Markonex works

Markonex is a B2B marketplace for companies in Romania to buy and sell: buyers publish requests for quotation (RFQs), the platform automatically finds matching ANAF-verified suppliers and manufacturers, and offers, negotiation, agreements and contracts happen on the same platform. Below is the full path, from creating the account to a contract accepted by both parties.

1. The company account and ANAF verification

You register the company with an email and password and enter its CUI (Romanian company tax ID). The platform checks the company with ANAF, the Romanian tax authority: if it is active, the official data (legal name, CAEN code, trade register number, VAT status, e-Invoice, registered office) is filled in on the profile automatically.

Within minutes of registration, the profile also receives the public financial statements from ANAF (revenue, profit, average number of employees and other indicators), visible to partners.

  • If the CUI does not exist or the company is inactive or struck off, registration is blocked.
  • Company status is re-checked with ANAF periodically.
  • You can invite colleagues and give them roles and permissions per feature.

2. The request for quotation (RFQ)

The buyer describes what they need: title, description, category, location and validity period (30 days by default). The request can be typed, dictated by voice or extracted from a scanned document, and the AI assistant helps write a clear description.

When published, the request becomes active immediately. When it expires, it leaves the market automatically.

3. Matching with suppliers (AI matchmaking)

The platform combines keyword search with semantic search: it understands the meaning of the request, not just the exact words. Results carry a match score that also weighs company verification, ANAF verification, rating, distance, category and negotiation history.

Suppliers who follow that type of request are notified when a matching request is published.

4. The offer and round-based negotiation

The supplier sends an offer on the request, and the two companies negotiate price and terms in structured rounds (up to 20), with messages and attached documents. A buyer can also send a price request directly to a company, or an offer on a product from its catalogue.

An offer that is not concluded expires after 30 days, and the party whose turn it is receives reminders.

5. The agreement and the contract

Acceptance happens in two phases: one party accepts the offer, the other confirms the agreement. From then on there is an agreement holding all the terms, messages and documents of the negotiation.

Each party then chooses whether the agreement needs a contract. The contract can be generated from the company's template (PDF) or uploaded as an existing document, and the agreement is completed once both parties accept the contract. After the agreement, the companies can rate and review each other.

  • Markonex does not process payments and is not a party to contracts between companies.
  • The exchange rate shown for price conversion is indicative.

Start with your first request for quotation

Registration happens directly in the platform, in a few minutes, with the company verified against ANAF by CUI.
