How an auto parts shop finds and checks new suppliers straight from Claude
An auto parts shop can find new suppliers in Markonex from Claude, check their profiles with ANAF data, financial statements and platform verification, publish a request for quotation and add the chosen supplier to its CRM, with publishing and CRM changes made only after confirmation. The illustrative scenario below walks through the conversation step by step.

Illustrative scenario: the company, people and figures are examples built to show how Markonex works, not the results of a real customer. The features described are the ones available on the platform today.
What kind of company is it and what problem did it have?
The scenario is illustrative: an auto parts shop in Iași, with two outlets and a small workshop, selling brake pads, filters, oils and batteries to repair shops and fleet operators.
Two large suppliers delivered almost everything, and when one of them delayed deliveries, the shop ran out of its best-selling items. It quickly needed serious, verified alternatives.
How did it look for suppliers before?
The manager searched the internet for distributors, checked each company on public authority websites and called for price lists. Checking a single company could take as long as a long phone call, and the price comparison stayed on paper.
What do you need to work this way?
The connection is set up once. This scenario needs:
- Your company is verified by the platform (the “Verified by the platform” badge); AI assistants are available only to verified companies.
- A user with the right to manage MCP has switched the connection on for the company, in Markonex, under AI → MCP → Details.
- In Claude (web or desktop) you added a custom connector with the address shown in Markonex, under AI → MCP → “Connection and usage”, where you also find the up-to-date steps.
- When you authorise it, on the Markonex page, you tick only the permissions you need; read permissions are ticked by default, write permissions are your choice.
- Permissions used here: reading company profiles and products (companies:read), reading and creating RFQs (rfq:read, rfq:write), reading and changing the CRM (crm:read, crm:write).
Step 1: you ask for suppliers and products by what you need
Claude searches the companies and the product catalogue in Markonex. Search understands meaning, so “brake pads” also finds products described as “disc brake shoes”.
- You
Find wholesale suppliers of brake pads and oil filters, preferably in Moldavia or delivering to Iași.
- Claude
I found 6 companies with matching products. Three have their seat or a warehouse in Moldavia: an importer in Bacău, a distributor in Suceava and a wholesaler in Iași. The Bacău importer lists 14 braking products with indicative prices; the Iași wholesaler mostly has filters and oils. Shall I compare their profiles?
Step 2: you check the companies before contacting them
Each company profile in Markonex carries the data taken from ANAF by tax ID (CUI) and the public financial statements. Claude reads and summarises them, so you do not search authority websites separately.
- You
Compare the Bacău importer with the Suceava distributor: ANAF data, turnover, employees and whether they are verified by the platform.
- Claude
The Bacău importer: active with ANAF, VAT-registered, enrolled in e-Factura, turnover growing over the last three years, about 40 employees, verified by the platform. The Suceava distributor: active with ANAF, VAT-registered, stable turnover, about 12 employees, not yet verified by the platform, which means it can negotiate but cannot conclude agreements until it is verified.
Step 3: you publish an RFQ, after confirmation
To get comparable offers from several suppliers, the shop publishes a request for quotation. The draft is saved directly, and publishing requires confirmation.
- You
Create an RFQ for 200 sets of front brake pads for compact cars and 300 oil filters, delivered to Iași monthly for 6 months.
- Claude
I saved the draft with 2 lines: front brake pads, compact segment - 200 sets; oil filters - 300 pcs, delivered monthly to Iași for 6 months. Shall I prepare publishing?
- Markonex - confirmation
Confirmation required - publish RFQ: “Brake pads and oil filters - monthly delivery Iași”, 2 lines, location Iași, open for 30 days. Do you confirm?
- You
Yes.
Step 4: you add the chosen supplier to the CRM, with a note
After the first offers, the manager chooses the Bacău importer. He adds it to the partner list as a supplier, with an internal note. CRM changes require confirmation.
- You
Add the Bacău importer to my partners as a supplier, with the note: “alternative for braking parts, 48-hour delivery”.
- Markonex - confirmation
Confirmation required - new CRM partner: the Bacău importer, relationship type Supplier, note: “alternative for braking parts, 48-hour delivery”. Do you confirm?
- You
Confirmed.
- Claude
The partner is saved in the CRM with the note. On its record you will see the history of offers and prices in Markonex.
What changed for the shop?
The shop now has a verified alternative for critical products, and the decision was based on official data, not only on impressions from phone calls. The chosen supplier is in the CRM with its offer history, so the next time stock runs low the shop knows who to call.
As an illustrative estimate, not a measured result: checking three suppliers becomes a single question in the chat rather than a morning of searching different websites.
What can Claude not do through Markonex?
Claude sees only what the user can see in Markonex. It does not publish requests or change the CRM without confirmation, and actions appear in the activity log as “Name (via Claude)”.
- A direct price request to a single company is sent from Markonex, from the company profile or a product page.
- ANAF verification shows that a company exists and is active, but does not guarantee delivery quality; the decision stays yours.
- It does not issue invoices, make payments or send anything to e-Factura.
- It does not change users, permissions or company settings.
Frequently asked questions
Can I check a company by tax ID (CUI) from Claude?
Yes. Claude reads the company profile in Markonex, with the data taken from ANAF by CUI, the public financial statements and platform verification, and summarises them in the chat.
Can I send a direct price request to a single supplier from Claude?
Not through MCP. From Claude you publish an RFQ on the marketplace, with confirmation. A direct price request is sent from Markonex, with the “Request price” button on the company profile or on a product page.
What does it mean that a supplier is not verified by the platform?
The company can negotiate, but accepting offers, agreements and contracts require both companies to be verified by the platform. Claude tells you the status before you decide.
Is this a real customer case?
No. It is an illustrative scenario built on the platform's real features. The companies and figures are examples.
